Introducing Avaya

PCCS creates and builds exceptionally engineered solutions in the areas of technology and telecommunications.  We have a long history branching from the early days of computers in the 1980’s and from the original AT&T.

We are proud to say PCCS is an Avaya partner. Our technicians have been specially trained and certified by Avaya to install and program each new phone system.  We specialize in the Avaya IP Office system.  We chose this system because of its scalability.  It can be configured to support between 5 and 384 users per site. Then it can be networked to span across multiple sites to include up to 1000 users.  This makes Avaya ideal for growing companies.  If you have an older Avaya or Nortel system, the new Avaya IP Office can utilize your existing phones, therefore lowering your initial cost of upgrading your system.

Avaya is proud to bring large business features to small- and medium-sized businesses such as Voicemail Notifications Sent To Email. For more of the benefits that Avaya has to offer…

Avaya IP Office delivers the Power of We®, enabling small and medium-sized businesses to collaborate with ease to drive revenue, productivity, and customer service. Combining advanced, big-business functionality with the ease of use and simplified management that small businesses require, Avaya IP Office helps small businesses use communications to differentiate them from their competition. IP Office lets you:

Easily scalable. As companies grow, the hassle of adding more phones or extensions is pretty much nullified through IP Office software’s recognizing capabilities.

Improve employee customer relations. Employees can now be reached anywhere to quickly handle a customer’s needs. IP Office can forward office voicemails to emails and even merge an employee’s office and cell phone so calls come in at both destinations.

Lower mobile phone and long-distance bills. Better manage your company’s mobile phone and long-distance charges by routing calls through the system and over broadband links.

Handle more calls with fewer people. Make your staff more efficient with the help of built-in intelligence to route calls quickly and accurately. Monitoring software can be included to monitor calls from cradle-to-grave along with employees as well.

Add employees without increasing real estate. IP Office provides the flexibility to have extra staff working from home with access to all the communications capabilities available at the main office.

Eliminate conference calling fees. IP Office makes everyday conferencing affordable with built-in 128-party conferencing.

Centralize administration. For businesses with more than one location, IP Office enables system management from a central location, minimizing the need for administrators to travel between sites.

Avaya IP Office offers a solution to fit the needs of any small business at three levels of service.

Avaya IP Office Essential Edition is the perfect small business starter kit with all the must-haves (call routing, caller ID, hold/conference/transfer, voice mail).

Avaya IP Office Preferred Edition offers 10 times more voice messaging capacity and the ability to handle dozens of calls simultaneously with special time and date specific greetings and Meet Me conferencing.

Avaya IP Office Advanced Edition adds automated 24/7 self-service, real-time customer service management and reporting, and seamless retrieval of recorded calls.

Tips from the Techs

Diagnosing failing technology can be hard and frustrating. Phone systems, servers, desktops and laptops, battery backups, and data backup systems are all an integral part in the successful running of your business. Here’s a few warning signs that it might be smart to start planning for a new system in your future.

Phone systems: Random loss of features on phone sets and system, lifespan varies

Servers: Slow performance, lack of disk space, age(~5yr lifespan)

Desktops: Random shutdowns, lockups, strange noises such as clicking, age(~3-4yr business, ~4-5yr personal)

Laptops: Overheating, random shutdowns, strange noises, age(~3yr lifespan)

Battery backup:  Will no longer hold a charge, gives a warning sign such as beeps or other noises, age(~2-3yr lifespan)

By no means are all of these definitive and resolute indicators as to the impending doom of your equipment but merely signs that something is wrong. PCCS will be glad to assess the severity of the issue before it gets to the point of no return. It’s much easier to begin budgeting at the first sign of misfortune than to be completely caught off guard. If it’s just simple diagnostics or if you are unlucky enough to have an emergency PCCS will always be there to assist your needs.
